Hundred Fifth Explosion
[Action]
[OH and this is probably backdated to sometime in the earlier afternoon.
So Haruki has been in hiding since the end of the AU event. To be fair, he thinks he has good reason. What he doesn't suspect, or perhaps is still in denial about is the the other night... (which is a much longer thread in full and totally work safe and such if you're curious even if it's not quite done yet) and the deadly consequences of these actions. So now, coming out of the woods (he took to checking out some caves... quietly... the other day) he comes across-
His doom. From a distance, you might have heard him SCREAM in pain and horror, but by the time any character arrives, the deed will have been done. Do feel to find him at the edge of the forest in... the follow state:
Haruki is frozen solid. Yes, ice coats his entire body. His face is frozen into a face of terror and there's some minor cuts on his face and arms. His shirt looks like it's been partially ripped in a few places as if by a sword. His journal lays to his side with a hole stabbed through it by... something. But perhaps what is more shocking than him being frozen solid is that... the whole tree around him is also frozen solid. Yes, the whole tree (which also has a few chips and such in the bark) is all frozen along with him, leaving him quite stuck.
So yes, you might have heard the scream! You must just be here by chance! But either way come and marvel at the amazing frozen Haruki. Maybe talk to others who have rushed to see this scene too. And perhaps help him out of concern because, y'know, frostbite isn't a good thing
Or if it suits your fancy perhaps you can run into him after he starts to recoverI just need to figure out... where he ends up
EDIT Oh but feel free to break time and find him twice if you want. Free him twice too. It's all good]

Stepping between Keiichi and Haruki, Minato reaches for the bag slung over his shoulder, fingers closing around the grip of the Evoker. There's no time to explain.]
Close your eyes. [it's also commanding, but he can't stop and see whether Keiichi listens. He pulls out the gun and presses it to his temple.]
no subject
All the conspiracy theories in his head shatter in a second, though. Just as soon as he sees Minato pull out a gun and press it into his temple.
What.
That... That definitively isn't a way to get anyone out of anything.
What is he playing at? This isn't time to play! But he seems serious.... But no... He's not going to... Right? Not Minato too. Not Minato too.]

[Before Keiichi can do anything stupid to slow the rescue even more, he pulls the trigger.
It's far from a normal gunshot. The sound is more like the shattering of glass, made more obvious by the blue, glass-like fragments that emerge from the opposite side of his head and fade away, just as a misty blue light encircles his feet. In the midst of all of that, a giant appears. At least twelve feet tall even kneeling, it towers over the boys.
Minato remains motionless, the weapon still pointed at his head, but the giant begins to move. Its flaming sword swings towards the ice but stops just above it, allowing the heat to melt it away without touching the person inside.]

But no. It's glass. Glass shattering, he heard it. A window broke somewhere. He will have to call to have it fixed- but there aren't windows here. A mirror maybe?
But it was a bang. It was a bang, of course it was a bang. Minato hold a gun against his temple. Minato had a gun. A gun aimed at his head. His brain. And he shoot. He said he was going to get Haruki out-.
Haruki is still in the ice. He's trapped. He's not breathing. He's still there. Minato said he was going to get him out but he shot himself in the head... Minato killed himself.
But he's standing right there. And there's a giant with a sword of fire melting the ice.
But he shot himself. He shot. He heard the bang. It was like crystal breaking. No, it was a gunshot, a normal one.
BANG!
And Minato is dead. He's laying there, dead.
But he's alive. He's standing.
No, he's dead. He's on the ground, he can see him. The blood. He sees the blood from the wound. Just like when in that other world Rena's head was smashed. So much blood.
And Haruki is still trapped. No, he must be already dead too. He must have. Because they wasted time. And Minato killed himself.
But the ice is melting, Minato is fine. Haruki is fine.
No, they aren't. They aren't fine. Minato shot himself, Haruki died on ice. Rena's not here either. They are gone. They are gone.
Argh, he can't think clearly, his throat itches. It's annoying. Scratch. Scratch. With the hand that holds a push-knife. Scratch. Scratch. Stupid itching, so annoying. But what does it matter. He's alone. Haruki is dead. Minato is dead. Rena isn't there. Rika isn't there. Hanyuu isn't there.
Just why the heck is he still there alive at all?
Scratch, scratch, scratch.]

And punches him as hard as he can in the face.
...Of course that takes all the strength Haruki has so he collapses immediately thereafter onto the ground]
no subject
He's seen this before. Rena did this. Rena did this after she'd completely broken and now Keiichi is too, with a wide-eyed expression too terrible for words and holding a knife. But before he can decide what to do - yell? tackle him? - Haruki somehow stumbles past and aims a fist to the face.
...That's one way to solve the problem.
As Haruki drops to the ground again Minato quickly moves to try and take that knife while Keiichi is distracted.]

Dead. They are dead. Dead or gone. No, dead. All dead. Of course. Of course, this was all a trap. People aren't sent back home, they are killed. Rika is dead, Hanyuu is dead, Rena is dead. Minato is dead. Haruki is dead. All are dead. Why is he not dead?
Why does it itch so much? Maybe he should try using the knife. Or scratch harder. Scratch. Scratch. Scratch.
What use is he to them if they are dead? He's nothing. He has no one. Dead... They are de-...]

BANG!
The punch doesn't feel like a punch. It stings. But it only scratched him. The worse is the sound, it hurts his ear, it makes him lose balance. As if it wasn't hard enough to keep his balance there. Oh well, they choose this area because of that, hoping to slow the enemy. But it's not really working, is it?
Keiichi looks behind him for a second, making sure the bullet hit a tree and didn't continue going stray. It's a miracle that it missed him. Or did he dodge it? It's still a miracle. His attention returns to his front. Takano... How much she had fooled them. He can't believe she's the one behind it all. And to think that Rika had wanted to help her... That bitch. If only he could smash her head with his bat.
He doesn't hear what they say, but doesn't need to. The guns are aimed at him. And all he has to defend himself is a baseball bat. Miracles only happen once, right? But he has to try... Just one more miracle. They are so close, so, so close. If only Rika is saved. Even if it's at the cost of his life it's fine. It's the least he can do, isn't it? He has to give them some more time, just enough for them to run away. This time, this perfect chance in which they have avoided falling to the syndrome.
For his friends. Against the syndrome. Against Takano. Please God. Just let him gain a bit more time. Only one more miracle. In this chance where they defeated the syndrom-...]

If you see a dot at the wall and hate bugs you will think it's a bug. It's the same with Satoko, just worse. The syndrome doesn't let her see anything else but what she is terrified of, no matter how clearly different the reality is.
Keiichi snaps, he had stumbled back after the punch. Falling sitting to the ground, still in a daze, his hand went back to his neck almost immediately because it still itched. But now it doesn't. It just hurts. Stings.
Keiichi looks. With a scared and worried expression, but his pupils are normal now. And he sees... Haruki on the ground before him. Minato standing. Haruki breathing. Minato breathing.]
Minato-kun... [But... But the gun... Was that an hallucination too? But it was real...
It doesn't matter. That's right. What does that matter. Just as his slightly wounded neck or his hand with a bit of blood on the nails. There's something more important.]
Haruki!!! Damnit, now is not the time to lose it Keiichi!
[Keiichi crawls to the other, taking him in his arms to make sure that's alright. He had been trapped on ice, damnit!]
Done
Are you all right? [this is mostly to Keiichi. Haruki seems out of it.]
no subject
I'll manage. First we should take Haruki to the clinic- or somewhere to rest safely.
I'll... I'll be okay.
[He won't lose it again. Not now. HAruki's alive. Minato's alive. Rena, Hanyuu and Rika aren't there but they are home. And everyone is alive.]
no subject
[Haruki's a big dude, much too big for him to manage alone. But after he's safe - they need to talk.]
no subject
He takes hold of Haruki's upper body, careful to not hurt him. To not cause any problem.]
Where are we going?
[Haruki's weigth. It's warm. Despite having been in the ice, to Keiichi it feels warm. Yes, they are alright. He will be alright.]

He moves slowly, backwards, so Minato has to kind of lead him as to where to turn and such.]

He just can't, and he avoids doing so the whole time. Using the carrying of the Suzumiya as an excuse to not to. And once he is safely in his bed... Keiichi finds another excuse in getting tons of blankets. He had been frozen, he needs to recover warm to try to stop him from getting too sick. Blankets. they need blankets.
And he needs to avoid both Haruki and Minato.]

Haruki-kun?
no subject
Only to be promptly put over Haruki once he returns to the room, arms full with every blanket he has found. He left alone the ones in Shiki's and Neku's rooms thought, he actually makes a point of not enter there... Neither in Rena's previous room but as it's unoccupied and he needs the blankets he may have peeked at it to see if there were any. At any rate, Keiichi busies himself in making sure that Haruki is perfectly tucked in bed and warm... Still not saying a thing and trying to avoid eye contact, kthx.]

Which he is.]

He notices Haruki observing him... And puts a hand over his eyes and forehead, another hand, the one still with his own blood from the small injuries in his neck, on his own forehead.]
I think... It won't be too bad...
[He will probably end with a cold anyway. But maybe nothing worse.]
