Hundred Fifth Explosion

[OH and this is probably backdated to sometime in the earlier afternoon.

So Haruki has been in hiding since the end of the AU event. To be fair, he thinks he has good reason. What he doesn't suspect, or perhaps is still in denial about is the the other night... (which is a much longer thread in full and totally work safe and such if you're curious even if it's not quite done yet) and the deadly consequences of these actions. So now, coming out of the woods (he took to checking out some caves... quietly... the other day) he comes across-

His doom. From a distance, you might have heard him SCREAM in pain and horror, but by the time any character arrives, the deed will have been done. Do feel to find him at the edge of the forest in... the follow state:

Haruki is frozen solid. Yes, ice coats his entire body. His face is frozen into a face of terror and there's some minor cuts on his face and arms. His shirt looks like it's been partially ripped in a few places as if by a sword. His journal lays to his side with a hole stabbed through it by... something. But perhaps what is more shocking than him being frozen solid is that... the whole tree around him is also frozen solid. Yes, the whole tree (which also has a few chips and such in the bark) is all frozen along with him, leaving him quite stuck.

So yes, you might have heard the scream! You must just be here by chance! But either way come and marvel at the amazing frozen Haruki. Maybe talk to others who have rushed to see this scene too. And perhaps help him out of concern because, y'know, frostbite isn't a good thing

Or if it suits your fancy perhaps you can run into him after he starts to recover ~~I just need to figure out... where he ends up~~

EDIT Oh but feel free to break time and find him twice if you want. Free him twice too. It's all good]

[Looking back now it is a bit ridiculous. He should have left Minato handcuffed like it had been the original idea. No, even now he doesn't even consider that he shouldn't have handcuffed him to begin with.]

[Maybe around the other side?]

[Keiichi you really are a special person.

well whatever you want to do figure it out. This is fairly uncomfortable.]

[You're also a very special person mister shooting your own head.

Keiichi thinks... And tries once more through that route, but to not avail. Fine, he will have to check from the other side.

He eyes Minato for a long moment.]

Roll over.

[He even tries to push him to do so, climbing over top of him trying to reach the other side. Maybe he should have used the rope after all, handcuffs are turning out to be more annoying like anything else.]

[This is Shiki. This is Shiki coming home and suddenly being pretty freaked out due to the fact that there are voices coming from Rena's room, so don't mind her barreling in through the door with Mr. Mew poised to throw. She stops shortly though when she sees the two boys on the bed...handcuffed.

[It can be worse. Just get another set of handcuffs and get Shiki stuck too.

Keiichi is still trying to see if he can find and/or reach the damn key after the initial surprise of Shiki entering. There are moments in which dignity doesn't have a place to stay, this is one of them.]

Oi, Shiki, there's no need to come back later, just help us get out of here, please. I think the key is under the bed...

[Shiki refuses to be handcuffed, thank you. However as she walks further in the room, she's giving both of them a really skeptical look.] What exactly happened here anyway? [And down she goes with Mr. Mew, peering under the bed for the key.]

Ask Keiichi.

[he gives up trying to understand this kid's thought process. He really does.]

I swear it made sense when I thought of it at first...

[Maaaaybe not that much sense now. He will admit that.]

And yet nobody's actually telling me what happened. I can understand being handcuffed to a bed, but each other? Come on guys...sure there isn't something you want to tell me?

[flat look, Shiki. flat. look.

...not that it's very effective from this angle. He tries to shove Keiichi off because this is just way too awkward.]

He thought I was going to get executed by Mitsuru-senpai.

You said you were worried about what she could do once the experiment passed. And she turned Haruki into a giant icicle!

[He has reasons to be worried, and he's getting off Minato, no need to shove him.]

The way things seemed it sounded better to lock you somewhere safe.

[And of course, she's still under the bed while this is all being said.] Well to be fair, Haruki might have deserved it...he's not exactly the most innocent person ever. But Mitsuru wouldn't execute Minato, there's no way. [And crawling out with the key! Tada!]

Him. [he's spent enough time with this crazy man.]

[Promptly pointing to the handcufs that link them. And Minato didn't complain about being with the crazy woman that was Rena at times.]

You too Shiki? Why are you so sure she wouldn't execute Minato?

[Oh calm down both of you. Shiki's going to go about unlocking the handcuffs linking them together, giving Keiichi a slightly amused grin.]

Because she's Mitsuru? It's just one of those things you learn after a while of knowing her, you start to figure out who she would and wouldn't execute.

[Minato holds still while this operation continues. And Rena is a lady, that's why.]

I know not to upset her.

[After a while of knowing her... Well, he doesn't know her after all. Maybe... Maybe she's kind of like Mion's grandmother? A woman that can be scary and is very strict, and who wouldn't hesitate to give you a painful death but... Who has many people to whom she just wouldn't do that. No matter what.

Keiichi looks sheepishly at both of them.]

So Minato isn't in danger of being hurt or killed?

[Shiki's just going to smile slightly because...well...Mitsuru can be pretty scary sometimes.]

By Mitsuru? No way. Minato's pretty good at defending himself anyway.

[He just nods. Right now he's more worried about you, Keiichi.]

[Now this is unfair, it's two against one.]

Yeah... I know he can defend himself.

[By shooting himself in the head. One day he will get over it.]

But... Have you ever seen that Shiki? It was... I don't want to go around the village and find Minato like that too, or worse, or similar, or whatever.

[Really, what's up with the universe and trying to kill/killing his friends?]

Seen Mitsuru execute people? [She's not sure she wants to say she's seen just as bad things with people getting Erased in the Game.] It's not something that happens often. If anything's going to get Minato, it's not going to be that. [Will a reassuring smile help at least?]

[...but as soon as Shiki frees his hands, he's going to get off the bed and make a break for the door.]

[He eyes both of you for a while and sighs.]

Fine... I'm sorry I overreacted. But friends dying isn't really something I want to experience again.

[He eyes Minato and his hand still chained to the bed.... Sixth sense is tingling here.]

I don't think friends dying is really something anybody wants. It's too depressing. [Following that look...and then holding the keys to the handcuffs in front of Keiichi.] Want these back?
