[OH and this is probably backdated to sometime in the earlier afternoon.

So Haruki has been in hiding since the end of the AU event. To be fair, he thinks he has good reason. What he doesn't suspect, or perhaps is still in denial about is the the other night... (which is a much longer thread in full and totally work safe and such if you're curious even if it's not quite done yet) and the deadly consequences of these actions. So now, coming out of the woods (he took to checking out some caves... quietly... the other day) he comes across-

His doom. From a distance, you might have heard him SCREAM in pain and horror, but by the time any character arrives, the deed will have been done. Do feel to find him at the edge of the forest in... the follow state:

Haruki is frozen solid. Yes, ice coats his entire body. His face is frozen into a face of terror and there's some minor cuts on his face and arms. His shirt looks like it's been partially ripped in a few places as if by a sword. His journal lays to his side with a hole stabbed through it by... something. But perhaps what is more shocking than him being frozen solid is that... the whole tree around him is also frozen solid. Yes, the whole tree (which also has a few chips and such in the bark) is all frozen along with him, leaving him quite stuck.

So yes, you might have heard the scream! You must just be here by chance! But either way come and marvel at the amazing frozen Haruki. Maybe talk to others who have rushed to see this scene too. And perhaps help him out of concern because, y'know, frostbite isn't a good thing

Or if it suits your fancy perhaps you can run into him after he starts to recover ~~I just need to figure out... where he ends up~~

A woman that can be scary and is very strict, and who wouldn't hesitate to give you a painful death but... Who has many people to whom she just wouldn't do that. No matter what.

So Minato isn't in danger of being hurt or killed?

[Shiki's just going to smile slightly because...well...Mitsuru can be pretty scary sometimes.]

By Mitsuru? No way. Minato's pretty good at defending himself anyway.

[He just nods. Right now he's more worried about you, Keiichi.]

But... Have you ever seen that Shiki? It was... I don't want to go around the village and find Minato like that too, or worse, or similar, or whatever.

Seen Mitsuru execute people? [She's not sure she wants to say she's seen just as bad things with people getting Erased in the Game.] It's not something that happens often. If anything's going to get Minato, it's not going to be that. [Will a reassuring smile help at least?]

[...but as soon as Shiki frees his hands, he's going to get off the bed and make a break for the door.]

[He eyes both of you for a while and sighs.]

Fine... I'm sorry I overreacted. But friends dying isn't really something I want to experience again.

[He eyes Minato and his hand still chained to the bed.... Sixth sense is tingling here.]

I don't think friends dying is really something anybody wants. It's too depressing. [Following that look...and then holding the keys to the handcuffs in front of Keiichi.] Want these back?

[Minato wants them back, Shiki. Please.]

I suppose, but many people here seem to have powers or are very intelligent or whatever so they can do something besides sit and wait for the worst. As much as I can train I won't be able to do much against, anything.

[At least back home it was humans what they were against of. But even then it took so much time, it took a miracle to be able to win. But here... He's just useless, and things almost got bad for a moment just from seeing a friend in danger. What would happen if they actually died?

He's still eyeing Minato seriously but he looks at Shiki when she talks. Then eyes Minato, then Shiki.]

Uhm... I would want them back, yes, please.

[He is willing to unlock Minato but... Not yet.]

On the bright side, most people aren't crazy enough to go around attacking everybody just because they can. With the different groups of heroes around? I don't think it's something to worry about. [Don't mind her as the keys go closer to Minato...and unlocking him, but giving him that 'stay put or get beat with a plushie' look.]

Just keep in mind that locking up Minato won't help.

[sob, Shiki. He needs to get out of this crazy house.]

[Keiichi hums, no they aren't crazy enough... Until they get bored. He still remembers a murdering rampage, mostly because one of the bodies even appeared at the school.

He does mind Shiki as she unlocks Minato but he says nothing, she does have a point and if he's really in no danger there's no point to do that, right?]

At least I would have been able to keep an eye on him... But you're right, it wouldn't really be that much of help. He wouldn't be able to run from me but neither from an enemy... Or defend himself...

[Pauses.]

I swear it made more sense in my head when I did it.

[Now however...]

Trust me, this is probably doing more harm than good. But at least we all understand that now, right? [Or so she hopes. It'd be a lot easier if everybody would just agree with her.]

Yeah, you're right Shiki. I'm sorry, I don't really know why I didn't see it like this before...

[Maybe because he was still a bit in panic at the idea of his friends dying around. He looks at Minato and scratches his head.]

Friends definitely do that, don't even doubt it! I probably would have done the same thing if I didn't think Minato could defend himself. You kind of can't really tell with him. [Sorry Minato, Shiki still loves you though.]

[He just... Can't help it. He's feeling relaxed again and not too worried, except for Haruki getting a cold after being in the ice. He just can't close his eyes at that idea. Blame Minato for mentioning the handcuffs.]

It's better than what I did to Neku in that closet. [She's told you that story Minato, but hey, Keiichi doesn't know. All the better to weird him out with.]

He'll want to know if you're tying up other men.

[well if you two are going that way he can play along too.]

[The fact that he doesn't know what Shiki is talking about doesn't deter him. Not at all. He is curious though but it may be better to not ask... For now.]
