Seventy-Second Explosion

[Action/Voice]

[Haruki is currently walking around the dining room of House #10. Weird stuff has happened lately, so he's going back to basics. Thing is, he meant to make a voice entry, but stopped before he ever started. As such, the journal records this. He's currently at the make-shift pen thing they have set up for Sekai - his chick - here in the kitchen. He's making sure she's getting fed, so you might hear some chirps here before-]

...This sucks, doesn't it?

[There's a chirp there before he sighs and shrugs This next part is said to the chick and therefore not at the journal, so he might not be that easy to make out everything perfectly] I mean, Tear's up and gotten kidnapped, Shion's MIA, Miu's MIA, Yuzu's... [... He pauses there, and groans] Whatever. That snowboarding thing was pretty fun.... [Well that reminds him-] At least Chikane's taken over the Seventh Heaven. She can cook even if she's a weirdo. I mean who molests someone's win- [...Wait] Dammit. [There's a chirp there! It seems confused, as far as chirps go]

[...Wait. Wait. That just. No. He grunts before looking back at the book and blushing. Hr forgot it was there, briefly, He scrambles get up to the table there and looks at the journal with a taken aback face - his first photo in this entry]

Disregard that! Jeez! [...!! New topic! He brainstorms and!]

So who thinks the Malnosso/Organization have been getting stupidly uninspired lately?! I mean, really, a lot of the more recent experiments have been John's doing or that invasion or other stuff like that. I mean the last experiments where that suggestion thing in later July, that body swap in later September, and the last one before that was all the way back in June, which... [...Which he has a horrible memory during, so he falls silent before sighing. He regains his mojo quickly though]

But still! Hypnosis? Body swap?! What is this, a children's show?! I mean those are so generic and cliche! In the past we got stuff like say people going crazy or... well the point is the Organization are a bunch of ignorant rat-bastards! I mean come on, I could be a better evil overlord than that. I could think of better experiments. Bet all of you could too. [...Actually-]

Like say... like say an experiment where the village disappears! Everyone wakes up naked in a large plot of land and we need to fend for ourselves for a week! It'd be like a survival reality show except not fake! Or maybe an experiment in which half the town becomes telepathic and the other half becomes like [...] Oh, I got! Half the town becomes a telepath so strongly for one other individual they feel everything they do. But they can't eat, so they need to rely on the other person to keep them alive!

Oh like! And experiment in which people's right hand gets replaced with someone else's right hand, and then when you find and get back your own right hand, if you put it back in place you turn into a kappa! Come on, something cool like that!c

And what's more, start talking to us again! I mean you guys just called us rats and I only saw it once, but I know you used to!

C'mon, Organization, throw me a bone here!

So what if I can? I'm not about to list off new and exciting ways to be screwed around with.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
What's so bad about that? I mean come on it's not like any of the recent ones were that bad anyway.
trueknight: (Now that's just silly.)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and I'm not about to complain about that.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
Why not! I mean it's boring and it's not like most if any of these have permanent effects anyway.
trueknight: (Guh; stupid Flynn)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
So the rest of us should go through hell so you can have a little excitement in your life? [He sounds more sarcastic than annoyed about it, though. A part of him agrees, after all.]

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
If everyone else wasn't some prudy knight or soldier or princess or whatevery they'd agree.
trueknight: (Yuri & Estelle | Field trip)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think that's really the reason behind it. [--Oh right, people like Flynn.] ... For all of them.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
[...A pause and then a shrug-] Fine, fine, some of them are teachers or den mothers too.
trueknight: (Funny thing about that ...)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
That's ... not exactly what I meant, but whatever works for you, I guess.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Like you oppose it because you have a kid.
trueknight: (Leaning against the wall)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, basically. Otherwise, I'd probably agree with you somewhat.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely! That's why you're an old man.
trueknight: (What the hell?)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
Wh--

How the hell does that make me an old man?

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Having a kid instantly makes you an ancient geezer!
trueknight: (You're kidding me right?)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
No it doesn't.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Does too. You need to do everything with a fragile human that can't walk around! You need to stock up on non-solid foods. You need to change diapers, you need to be careful about illness. You need to have a wheeled vehicle around all the time, and you need to deal with smelly things. You need to be careful for broken bones all the time and there's soft-stops that double as self destruct buttons.

There's no difference.
trueknight: (Pouting)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
That's-- [True. Goddammit. But he's going to argue it anyway.] That's called "looking out for the kid", not "looking out for myself".

1/2

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
And a parent that neglects there kid is lower than trash.

[...That came out really oddly serious]

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
[...So he recovers with!]

And as such, the kid and the parent as as one being!
trueknight: (Ugh ...)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Sighing now. What the hell is he supposed to say against reasoning like that?] And so that makes the parent an ancient geezer, huh?

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. It's no problem though, being a geezer's not that bad.
trueknight: (You're kidding me right?)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't exactly sound good either.
trueknight: (Leaning against the wall)

[personal profile] trueknight 2009-11-16 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
[He was about to find some way to mouth off about that, but really ... it kinda sounded like Haruki was being serious. That and in this case, there really didn't seem to be a point in trying.

So instead, there's a bit of a pause before he answers
.]
... You've got a point there.

[identity profile] god-is-a-dude.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely.

[Sage nod there because he shrugs. This convo's done for him, probably]
