Hundred Fifth Explosion
[Action]
[OH and this is probably backdated to sometime in the earlier afternoon.
So Haruki has been in hiding since the end of the AU event. To be fair, he thinks he has good reason. What he doesn't suspect, or perhaps is still in denial about is the the other night... (which is a much longer thread in full and totally work safe and such if you're curious even if it's not quite done yet) and the deadly consequences of these actions. So now, coming out of the woods (he took to checking out some caves... quietly... the other day) he comes across-
His doom. From a distance, you might have heard him SCREAM in pain and horror, but by the time any character arrives, the deed will have been done. Do feel to find him at the edge of the forest in... the follow state:
Haruki is frozen solid. Yes, ice coats his entire body. His face is frozen into a face of terror and there's some minor cuts on his face and arms. His shirt looks like it's been partially ripped in a few places as if by a sword. His journal lays to his side with a hole stabbed through it by... something. But perhaps what is more shocking than him being frozen solid is that... the whole tree around him is also frozen solid. Yes, the whole tree (which also has a few chips and such in the bark) is all frozen along with him, leaving him quite stuck.
So yes, you might have heard the scream! You must just be here by chance! But either way come and marvel at the amazing frozen Haruki. Maybe talk to others who have rushed to see this scene too. And perhaps help him out of concern because, y'know, frostbite isn't a good thing
Or if it suits your fancy perhaps you can run into him after he starts to recoverI just need to figure out... where he ends up
EDIT Oh but feel free to break time and find him twice if you want. Free him twice too. It's all good]

He doesn't speak though. Just... dully nods. He's shell-shocked still]

You really did a number on yourself.
[Katara pulls some water on to her hand and lays it on his arm, where the burn is. The cool and tingling feeling is inevitable, but not ten seconds later when she lifts her hand, the burn is gone.] Let me see the other one.
[And she's proud that her voice is steady even if steady is the last thing that she feels.]

In the back of her mind, she shoots off a very definite 'Take that' to fire in general and a certain firebender in particular.
She looks at him with wide, assessing eyes... and then wraps her arm around his shoulders, pulling him into a half hug and rubbing her hand briskly up and down his other arm.]
You're all right. It's over now. But you need to get up and get moving in a few minutes, okay? You're too cold.

...Alright.
-But no one said it would be eloquent]

A minute later, and she removes her arm and stands up, offering him her hand.]
Come on, get up. You need to get the blood moving in your legs too.

Come on, Haruki, you have to really move. [She gives him a concerned and assessing look.] Don't make me teach you the penguinfish dance.

Oi let's... race.

We can do that. Where to?

But he nods and- Gets into a position... he mentally prepares himself trying to think up the route in his head and then bounces a little on the balls of his feet. His muscles don't feel that bad - sorta - but he aches all over his body besides that. He might even lose this race]
...Go!
[But that doesn't mean he won't he running with all of his considerable speed the moment he said that. ...Even if he's slower than usual what with trying not to trip. For someone like Katara it should be easy to keep pace or even potentially pass him]

...it feels really good to just run, though. Give her a minute or two to prove that you're not going to immediately die, and you might see a different story.]

He said race, after all.
It's with a sudden burst of speed that she comes along side him and flashes him a grin. See? You're alive and you're moving and everything is all right now.
And then it's time to face forward and run.]

But while he's got the reach on her, she is in top form and has taken to running with light weights. She sees him gaining and increases her speed. Does he overtake her?]

She flashes up a grin at him.] Too [gasp] slow.

[As for him he leans up against the outer wall of the building, taking in breath and such]

[Yeeeah, remember those promised questions?]

[He senses something wicked this way comes]

[And dude, if you pissed off Hitsugaya that much she is going to be very disappointed with him. And if it was Mercury...]
